RunMyVillage User Talk -RMV Service Module Enhancements 3 PM ET/ 2PM CT/ 1 PM MT/ 12PM PT
Over 25% of Villages using RunMyVillage have implemented the Volunteer Self-Signup (VSS) module … with a growing number of Villages successfully using it.
VSS began as a way to allow volunteers to find out about and sign up for services requested by members. It has since grown to include many more ways that volunteers can help reduce the work of the office staff. This talk will cover the basic functions and also discuss the many extras that make this more of a Volunteer Self Service module.
Originally, the VSS module merely allowed volunteers to go online at any time and consult their own schedules in selecting when to choose a service. They could choose the type of service and the member who needs help. Because volunteers say it is one of the most convenient features of volunteering for a Village, the VSS aids both as a recruiting point and for volunteer satisfaction and retention.
For those Villages that are already using VSS, this will be an opportunity to cover the less obvious features of the tool that can save office staff additional time and be described during volunteer orientation.
The talk will touch briefly on the Automated Open Request email feature and how these VSS and AOR features complement each other. There is a one-time fee of $600 to implement the VSS. AOR is included in the basic software fee.
Please invite anyone from your Village who you think will be interested in learning about VSS and its benefits to the Village and to your volunteers.
You can register for this session through the Calendar in the Village to Village Network website.
These monthly talks are designed to help Villages use RunMyVillage more effectively. Each month has a different topic. The intended audience always includes the technology community within your Village; in addition, others in the Village may be invited based on the planned topic. Each of the User Talks has time for Villages to ask RunMyVillage-related questions to RMV and to other Villages. If you have ideas for topics, email us. Our email address is RMVusers@vtvnetwork.org.
